“I went to Burton Constable Hall & Grounds last weekend with my two children aged 4 and 18 months. When it was first suggested that I visited with the children I was a little dubious about it as I wasn’t really sure that there would be anything there to keep my two entertained.

Upon getting there I was proven wrong almost straight away; there are two play areas situated inside the barn with lots of ride on toys for children of various ages (fab idea if the weather isn’t great). There are also 3 rocking horses with a carriage and dressing up outfits for the children to play on, which my children loved.

We were given a trail finder for the children to find clues and they got a badge for taking part (even if they don’t manage to finish the trail, the kids are rewarded for taking part). All the way around the grounds there were things for the children to play on: slides, a large outdoor chess game and wooden animals for them to climb on.

Despite having such a great time outdoors I was still a little worried about taking the children around the hall, I thought they would get fed up and the staff maybe wouldn’t approve. However, I really couldn’t have been more wrong as the staff were so lovely with the children. There were toys and dressing up in different rooms and tea set which was a particular favourite of my two, who played with it for a long time. I would definitely recommend a visit, good for children of all ages.” Reviewed by Amy Grant and family.
