Make and migrate with Marti!

Dates: September 7, 2019 – September 8, 2019

This weekend we’re inviting all young budding artists to migrate to The Deep and get creative!

We’re celebrating the release of children’s book ‘Marti the Hammerhead Shark’ by Galapagos Conservation Trust, and supported by The Deep. It tells the tale of a young hammerhead shark on her first migration from the lagoons of the Galapagos islands to Cocos island in Costa Rica, teaching children about the importance of protected migration paths for marine animals along the way.

Join the illustrator, Lisa Brown in Craft Corner between 11am and 3pm each day where she’ll help you to draw the characters from the book. You can also make a character badge to take home with you.

Don’t miss our fun, interactive presentations at 11am, 1pm and 3pm where we’ll explore magnificent migrations! Why do animals migrate, where is Marti going, and why might her journey be under threat?
