Lightwater Valley Theme Park really amazed my family, we had the most fantastic day and when we was leaving the park my youngest started to cry and wanted to go back straight away.

The park has over 40 rides and attractions for thrill seekers of all ages and suited my family of a young toddler, five year old and thirteen year old boys perfect! As a family with mixed aged children we always struggle to suit all and I was extremely happy to find play parks, rides for little ones alongside big rides for the bigger children. As my youngest was on the tiny dipper, my eldest was on the Black Pearl .

The park itself is set in the most beautiful countryside alongside a lake and rolling fields of green. My children played tig and chase and was able to run around freely within plenty of open green grassed areas. I couldn’t miss the smell of country air and woods that surrounded us and that is what made our day extra special. With hardly no queues and the park peaceful, we could pick and choose rides to ride on over and over again. My boys loved the Tractor ride that took you through a little farm of real-life animals such as Pigs, Goats, Hens, Ponies, Chickens, Cows, Sheep and a Turkey!

Tractor ride

Another Favourite was the Vintage cars, water rapids and of course The Ultimate  roller coaster which my eldest insisted riding on over and over again.

Mini adventures are for our youngest guests (aged 1-5 years) and offer fantastic family fun, they include; the UK’s largest indoor and outdoor Angry Birds Activity Park, the Lightwater Express train ride around the park, Eagle’s Creek Farm tractor ride with animals a selection of fairground and water rides and new for 2017  Adventure Playground and Mini Sand Diggers .

Be thrown into the air in the grip of our Eagle’s Claw, hurtle through deep, dark forests aboard Europe’s longest roller coaster The Ultimate and venture into the underground world of Raptor Attack. See the park from a whole different viewpoint aboard Black Pearl and then hop on Apollo and take a spinning ride above the tree tops.

Lightwater Valley is great value for money, Free Parking and we took along a picnic to have alongside the lake. I spent a small fortune on the picnic items however when I entered the park I could not help but notice that the Restaurants offered very good value food. Children’s meals for £3.99 and bags of sweets could be bought for £1.25 within the gift shops. Small children’s cone of kelly’s ice cream and Fab lollies both priced at £1.50 (These prices might change).

The day was wonderful and the peaceful relaxed environment of the Park was lovely. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and chatted to you as you was walking around the park and was saying good bye as you was walking out.
