Fitmums buggy sessions

Thursday 9.30am, East Park, Holderness Road, Hull

Sessions involve a 2/ 3 mile walk of varying paces to suit all; power walking for those who want or a gentler pace for others.  Some sessions also include toning activities to give an all-round workout and some involve some “walking speed work” with buggies for those wanting an extra workout. 

Buggy sessions are £3 per session and FREE to members.  You don’t need to book – just turn up.  Feel free to contact the Buggy Leaders for more information if needed.

Sweaty Mama: Carlton & Goole

Sweaty Mama is a unique and effective way to exercise with your child. No need to organise childcare, Sweaty Mama allows you to bond with your child whilst you undertake the workout, utilising their weight to intensify the exercise. Over the course of sessions, you gradually build up your fitness level and strengthen your core to rehabilitate your body after having a child. A fab, fun workout to upbeat music both you and your child will love!

Powerhooping Classes: South Cave

Wednesday 9.30 – 10.15, WI Hall, South Cave. (If you have children in buggies they are welcome to watch. Limited space so call ahead. New members can come along 9.00-9.30 for a free trial.)

Powerhooping is the latest fitness craze! It’s like hoola-hooping but with a weighted hoop that gives you lots of core strength, great abs and is a lot of fun to do. Even if you couldn’t hoop as a child you will be able to Powerhoop as it is weighted and uses a different technique. The classes are run by Jenny Platt, an experienced fitness instructor and the only Powerhooping instructor in East Yorkshire.

Classes are just £5 (including hoop hire, £4 without) and the FIRST SESSION IS FREE.
